ALL returned to the School. Upon receiving ALL of the above-listed Requirements, Washington Academy's staff will contact the applicant with an enrollment and orientation date.​

1. Proof of Age, Identification, and Citizenship: 

• Be at least 17 years of age (Age verified with a government-issued ID/driver's license, birth certificate, passport.)

• Provide a Valid government-issued ID/driver's license, or valid passport, birth certificate,& Security Card,

1. Instructor Training students must also provide a valid Barber license. (along with the above only)​

2. Proof of Education: 

• Official High School Diploma or Official final High School Transcript confirms High School completion or college transcript, or A GED (General Equivalency Diploma), or by completing a high school education in a homeschooled setting approved under state law.

• Washington Academy of Barbering and Arts does not accept the Ability to Benefit (ATB) students.

Online (internet) High school, GED, and home school diploma mills are not acceptable as proof of appropriate education.​​

Note: A High School completion is not the same as a High School diploma; generally, a certificate of high school completion (as opposed to a high school diploma) is issued to students who have completed high school coursework but who have not met all the academic high school graduation requirements, including passing any required examinations.

General Documentation Requirements: All documentation must match, including SSN card, driver's license, and all other information needed. Further documentation may be for identity verification purposes.

Applicants must present two (2) pictures of themselves. (MUST be passport photos)

An Application for enrollment completed; a nonrefundable Application Fee in the amount of $100.00 required upon completion.

Enrollment:
Once an applicant has been accepted and ALL required forms completed, the student may begin training on the following schedule:
Full time classes,1500 hours(WITH THE EXCEPTIONS OF HOLIDAYS) 60weeks/15 months, are scheduled 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Tuesday thru Friday and 7am- 1pm Saturday (MANDATORY)with one hour for lunch. 
Part-time students must carry a minimum of twenty (21) hours per week and special schedules must be arranged with the school Director. (PART TIME TBA)
Washington Academy operates on an open enrollment system. This means that as openings become available they may be filled.
